Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast

Situated alongside Cornmeal Creek in the heart of Maroochydore, m1 Resort is perfectly located to enjoy the very best of the Sunshine Coast.

Activities and Things to Do

Beaches

The nearby beaches at Cotton Tree and Mooloolaba are some of the safest on the Sunshine Coast, these white sand beaches are fully surf patrolled. The beach at Mooloolaba is especially friendly to young families with a beach that offers very gentle surf. However if you’ve bought your surfboard there are plenty of surf beaches nearby with the Alexandra Headlands one of the closest, but also around the corner at the Pin Cushion next to the Maroochy rivermouth.

Whale & Dolphin Watching

The whale watching is pretty good on the Sunshine Coast too. A picnic at Point Cartwright might reward you with a sighting of a pod of humpback Whales. These beautiful giants can be seen during the months of July through to November passing through to Hervey Bay.

You can also get up close and personal and feed wild dolphins in Tin Can Bay at the Barnacles Dolphin Centre, where you’ll be able to hand feed these beautiful mammals.

Scenic Walks

The Sunshine Coast is described as one of the most beautiful spots on Earth for walking. There are plenty of opportunities to check out the beaches, rainforests and rivers around the region on foot. And the great thing about Sunshine Coast scenic walks is that most of them are right on our doorstep.
